LCDA rehabilitated the Kavalamanja clinic, 2 staff houses and constructed 5 VIP toilets at Kavalamanja Rural Health Centre meant to benefit 1,549 community members.
LCDA constructed a 1X3 classroom block at Chimutengo Primary School. Initially, the school only had an ECE centre.
LCDA working in partnership with ChildFund installed a power irrigation hydro-power facility to pump water from the Zambezi River to the 35 Hectares fenced area in Kavalamanja Community to facilitate production of vegetables year round
LCDA distributed 1500 insecticide treated nets (ITNs) to pregnant women, under five children and the terminally ill in Tigwilizane Community. The ITNs were donated by ChildFund to LCDA through the Goods in Kind category
Farmers were supported with treadle pumps which they use to irrigate their crops. The farmers are able grow vegetables and fruits such as bananas and oranges throughout the year.
LCDA constructed four (4) modern Early Childhood Education (ECE) centres at Kavalamanja, Chiriwe, Kaluluzi and Chimutengo Primary Schools
